MEET THE FOUNDER....

Sawuda Mohamed, an African girl, embodies the definition of joy and happiness. As the first daughter of her parents, she is a constant work in progress, a seeker of knowledge and light, and a dreamer with ambitions. Sawuda recognizes her beauty, resilience, and strength, reflected in her brown eyes, curly hair, and the rich tone of her skin. Her connection to her roots is evident as she proudly wears a hijab to the mosque, wrapping her beauty in the fabric of her faith.

Sawuda embarked on the journey of starting a black-based business for black women and girls with a profound sense of purpose and a commitment to making a positive impact. Her motivations are rooted in a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by black women and girls, coupled with a passionate desire to empower, uplift, and celebrate their strength and resilience. Having personally experienced the impact of derogatory words and the challenges of navigating societal perceptions, Sawuda recognized the need for a space that not only acknowledges the beauty and strength inherent in black women and girls but actively promotes their well-being and success.

Sawuda's vision for the business is to create a supportive and inclusive community where black women and girls can find inspiration, encouragement, and resources to thrive. She understands the importance of representation and wants to contribute to reshaping narratives, challenging stereotypes, and fostering a sense of pride and self-love among her community. The business is not just a venture for Sawuda; it's a platform for advocacy and positive change. By providing opportunities, promoting education, and celebrating the achievements of black women and girls, Sawuda aims to contribute to a more inclusive and equitable society.

In essence, Sawuda's decision to start a black-based business is fueled by a passion for empowerment, a commitment to challenging societal norms, and a heartfelt dedication to creating a world where black women and girls can truly embrace their identity, realize their potential, and thrive in every aspect of their lives.
